3. The agreement
This agreement is between the Designer and the Client named above, for the website built for the Client's business (the "Website").
1. What the Designer provides
A complete, ready-to-publish website as already shown to the Client in the preview link, including the home page, about section, full menu with prices (with search and vegetarian/spicy filters), house favourites, gallery, reviews, FAQ, allergy information, opening hours with live open/closed status, contact/map, links to the Client's existing Grub24 online ordering, light/dark mode, privacy policy and terms pages.
One round of changes to text, prices, hours and photos supplied by the Client, made before go-live, requested within 14 days of signing.
A full copy of the website files (a .zip) and a step-by-step guide to buying a domain and putting the website online for free.
Reasonable help by phone or message while the Client sets up the domain and hosting, up to the day the Website goes live.
2. Price and payment
The Client pays the total price shown in section 1, in the way shown in section 1.
The Designer will start the changes once this agreement is signed and the first (or full) payment is received.
The final website files are handed over once the full price is paid.
This is a one-off payment. There are no monthly fees payable to the Designer.
3. Hosting and domain — the Designer does NOT host the Website
The Designer does not host, run or maintain the Website after handover.
The Client buys and owns their own domain name (e.g. their shop name .co.uk) and their own hosting account (e.g. free Cloudflare Pages), in the Client's own name. Any costs for these are paid by the Client directly to those companies. The Designer does not pay for the Client's domain, hosting or any other running costs, now or in the future.
The Client is responsible for keeping their domain renewed and their accounts secure.
4. Ownership
Once the full price is paid, the Client owns the Website and its files and can use, change and publish them as they wish.
The Designer may show the Website in their portfolio (for example screenshots or a link), unless the Client asks in writing not to.
5. Content supplied by the Client
The Client confirms they have the right to use any photos, logos, text, prices and reviews they supply or approve, and that the business information on the Website is correct before go-live.
Some photos and the video shown in the preview are placeholders taken from public customer reviews on Google. Before go-live the Client will replace them with their own photos, or confirm they have permission to use them. The Designer is not responsible for the use of any photos the Client keeps on the Website.
Online ordering, payments, delivery and customer accounts are run by Grub24 (the Client's existing ordering provider). The Website links to it but it is not part of this sale, and the Designer is not responsible for it.
6. No change of mind / refunds
The Website was built and shown to the Client before this agreement, so the Client has already seen what they are buying.
This is a business-to-business agreement for custom digital work. Once signed, the Client agrees to pay the full price and payments made are non-refundable, except where the Designer fails to deliver what is listed in section 1.
If the Client stops replying or does not supply their information within 60 days, the work is treated as delivered and any remaining balance becomes due.
7. After go-live
Handover is complete when the Client has the website files and the Website is live on the Client's own domain and hosting account, or when the files are delivered if the Client chooses to set it up themselves. After handover, the Designer has no further obligations to the Client and this deal is finished.
Any changes, fixes or new features after go-live are not included and can be quoted separately if the Client wants them.
The Designer is not responsible for problems caused by the Client's domain/hosting provider, by changes made by anyone else, or for loss of business. The Designer's total liability is limited to the price paid.
8. General
This is the whole agreement between the Designer and the Client. Any change must be agreed in writing (a message both agree to is fine).
Both parties agree that signing electronically on this page is as binding as signing on paper.
This agreement is governed by the law of England and Wales.
